One challenge that sex worker rights organizations face is that being able to update their websites with timely information is difficult if there is only one person who can do this, and if that person is a volunteer, unpaid, or has to move on to another organization. Also, many groups are reporting on news and events of interest to sex workers and our organizations. If we could put all of that in one place using RSS, would that be helpful to our community? Is there a good reason not to aggregate this information and collect it into one, or a few, places?

At the conference table this morning, talking about ‘raid and rescue’ tactics in the global anti-prostitution agenda. Hazera has written a book about her life as a sex worker and her multiple ‘rescues.’ How can we support getting her book into the mass debate around trafficking, and why sex workers want rights, not rescue?

Putting together tools to teach on, I started this ‘test blog’ to play with in class – but then thought, why not share this process? Please follow along and play along, too. And of course tell me what works and offer more development!
